David currently chairs the Ministerial Advisory Group on Outcomes for Children.
For many years David has been Chair of Governors of Meadowbank Special School and Headlands School, Penarth. One of the jobs David did before entering politics was promoting the work of UNICEF in Wales.
David organised the first conference in Wales on the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child back in 1989. He remains firmly committed to the principles set out in the convention.
